THE WEATHER IS MATCHLESS....

Our island is located just one degree outside the limits of the Tropics - and is the ONLY city on the East coast that's completely frost-free. We also have less rain than the rest of the state. Its proximity to the Gulf Stream gives our island a most equable climate: the average temperature varies only about 15 degrees over the year. The termometer seldom climbs above 90 degrees even in summer. We are always around 10 degrees cooler in the summer and 10 degrees warmer in winter than the mainland.

Here are some average High and Low temperatures: January, 71/66 - February, 75/65 - March, 79/70 - April, 82/73 - May, 85/76 - June, 87/79 - July, 89/80 - August, 89/80 - September, 87/79 - October, 84/76 - November, 80/75 - December, 75/67.

The rainy season runs from June thru September - however - it seldom rains all day!
