·AQUA (711 Duval Street - 294-0555) is the largest dance club in KEY WEST and is ALL WELCOME.  Incredible sound and lights with DJ's Gary Nolan and Nathan Douglas, Happy Hour  is daily from 2 PM till 8 PM with one of the best views on DUVAL.  They now offer NTN National Trivia, and on Wednesday and Saturdays give away prizes for TRIVIA WINNERS with a WHEEL OF FORTUNE to spin to win prizes.  On Tuesday and Sunday the HAPPY HOUR also features LIVE "88 KEYS WEST" with Frank Wood singing and playing. "REALITY IS A DRAG" is their drag presentation every TUESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY and SATURDAY at 9:30 PM featuring the AQUANETTES: INGA, GUGI, FAITH and VICTORIA.  Aqua also has KARAOKE every MONDAY and WEDNESDAY at 8:30 which is a hit with TOURISTS and LOCALS as well.   On Sundays they have a "BUILD YOUR OWN BLOODY MARY BAR" during HAPPY HOUR. Sundays is a big day at AQUA.  It's CALLED "SUNDAY LIVE" with live entertainers from 3 to 11 PM followed by dance with the DJ Nathan Douglas. The outside "WET BAR" is now open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It's a great QUIETER TROPICAL GETAWAY with a waterfall and pleasant surroundings which you can enter from the alley or through the main dance floor.   

·THE ATLANTIC SHORES 510 SOUTH STREET, Phone 296-2491. Famous as "the" place for SUNDAY TEA by the SEA Dance out by the POOL and on the PIER. At the far end of the island on the ATLANTIC OCEAN with a pier that juts out and into the ocean. As the locals refer to it "THE" place to hang for the ALL OVER TAN in the NUDE at the POOL and PIER and you still can, however a new rule requests that when you stand up, you ROBE yourself to move about, swim in the pool or get a cocktail. It is becoming more GAY again after going through a period which attracted more straight SWINGERS for a while. The SHORES can be a great place to meet, see and greet others during the day. Note: there is now a FABULOUS RAMP to the BAR/POOL/ PIER for wheelchair accessibility. Sandwiches are available while you SUN from the POOL BAR GRILL and the pool is one of the largest on the island, yet you can step into the ocean from the pier as well if you like. They have a LIVE CAM so your friends could see you prance around while they are back home. All of the SHORES is GAY, LESBIAN, STRAIGHT, and CONFUSED (at TIMES) folks. THURSDAY Nights is fun at CINEMA SHORES (in the parking lot) with FIRST RUN movies for only $5 free popcorn, and you can relax in a LOUNGE CHAIR with a COCKTAIL and EVEN SMOKE while watching a film. Call for the latest title, but for a neat evening out, this is it! The NEW SOLID GOLD SUNSET is on FRIDAYS from 7 to 10 with drinks special and SOLID GOLD CLASSICS. SATURDAY is "MESH TOGETHER" A KEY WEST PRIME SOCIAL APPETIZER on the OCEAN; with RUDY GIRL DJ and DRINK SPECIALS. ATLANTIC SHORES has affordable guest rooms as well and features a fun little restaurant for breakfast and lunch: DINER SHORES; known for homemade BLUEBERRY PANCAKES right on SOUTH STREET. POOL OPENS EVERY DAY at 9 AM (the best time for the SUMMER SUN before it gets too MEAN). SHORE SPIRITS is their own LIQUOR store on PREMISES with a fairly good wine selection and decent prices. ·BOBBY'S MONKEY BAR! All new ownership but the same folks behind the bar which used to be DONNIE'S CLUB INTERNATIONAL. It will take us all some time to say BOBBY'S instead of DONNIE'S, but it will happen. No major changes other than a bunch of fun MONKEY STUFF - and ART too! This is the definitive "ALL WELCOME" local's bar (and a great SCORING place for VISITORS.)  Just a few steps off DUVAL on OLIVIA and SIMONTON, they still open at NOON and are open EVERY DAY till 4 AM, even when it gets slow, cause the other BARTENDERS show up then.  Great COLD DRAFT BEER and a JAGGER MACHINE (ICE COLD) as well! Always drink specials and Happy Hour from noon to 7 PM.  Known for their GREAT JUKE BOX and POOL TABLE, there is a TOURNAMENT every TUESDAY night at 7 PM and OLD DONNIE KOZICKI will be hosting it.  FREE FOOD for PARTICIPANTS! KARAOKE with LOCALS and GUESTS becomes a NIGHT TO REMEMBER every SUNDAY and now FRIDAY as well at 9 PM.  Over 3,000 songs in the catalog and SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.  Bobby's partner, GARY mixes it up and sings as well!  The HOT GAME MACHINES at the BAR offer INTERNET ACCESS and a large variety of games you can actually play with others at the bar (on the machines) or enter tournaments all over the UNIVERSE!  EMAIL as WELL! Usually on WEDNESDAY nights it's FREE POPCORN and a movie about 7 PM. From "SORDID LIVES" to WHATEVER.  Big MIX of STRAIGHT, GAY, LESBIAN and CONFUSED (what an opportunity)  Folks on a regular basis and if you stop in more than once, you are FAMILY and THEY WILL KNOW YOUR NAME! This has always been the "GAY CHEERS BAR OF KEY WEST" and will continue on.  BOBBY, the main owner, manager does most of the LATE NIGHT SHIFTS and is MR. PERSONALITY, and he "don't eat much."  They will continue to be a SHOWCASE for up and coming DRAG QUEENS "all of sudden" or during a large number of FUND-RAISERS throughout the year. Key West CHARACTERS, CELEBS and workers from other bars tend to HANG on a regular basis. With 7 or 8 TV screens, if there is a HAPPENING or a MAJOR SPORTS thing, this is the place to drink and watch, and CRUISE as well. ·THE BOURBON STREET COMPLEX at 722 - 801 DUVAL is more than complex. www. bourbonstreetcomplex.com can give a pretty up to date listing of events, and the one thing for sure is that there is always an event going on at one of the 7 or 8 bars, even if it's just sitting and drinking with a friend. They claim to have the longest HAPPY HOUR in KEY WEST from 11 AM to 8 PM however drinks prices do vary from bar to bar and really jump after 8. Best to ask in advance what the FARE is so you know what you are paying. The 801 BOURBON BAR (at 801 Duval and Petronia) has been there forever and is a major watering hole for locals and tourists alike, plus a pick up cruise bar at night; or during the day if you like. TRISH (Wed through SAT) is almost an institution during the day; stop in and have a great waker-upper. Upstairs is the CABARET with DRAG SHOWS every night with TWO SHOWS NIGHTLY at 9 and 11! They do NOT charge a COVER, but be prepared to be "requested" to tip a lot to the performers who work for tips and change the shows every night as well. A great variety of fun drag queens make for more than interesting evenings for all. The CABARET bar is also the home of the original GAY KEY WEST BINGO and is still a hoot every SUNDAY starting at 4 PM with the one and only RV BEAUMONT. If you have never been, do attend and it is just FUN raising money for local charities and being about as silly as one can be on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON. You might even WIN some KINKY prizes or BAR TABS! In the "BACK ROOM" as is has been tagged, is SALOON ONE, which is the home to the KEY WEST WRECKERS leather group and although not as sleazy as it used to be, still has an element of the DARK SIDE with usually not too much room to even play pool on the table. If there is one bar on the island that is ALL MEN, this is it. Open at 11 AM with lots of good PORN on the VIDEO SCREENS and goes till 4 AM. Women COULD come in, but would probably not feel that comfortable. Next to the back door is a kiosk version of LEATHERMASTER; the premier leather and kink store of the island that is open late at night on weekends as well. Across the street is the BOURBON STREET PUB, Video/Dance Club; with three bars and plenty of BOYS ON THE BARS at night; Dancing for dollars and some a little on the GAY FOR PAY side of things, but always willing to show and show and show for those that like to stuff bills down pants or in cracks. A small dance area is frequently packed with BODIES getting close to each other on WEEKEND NIGHTS and one of the cruisiest bars anywhere. Guys and Gals hang here and sporadically a curious straight tourist ventures in, but more GUYS than anything. Step out back to the POOL SIDE OUTDOOR GARDEN BAR (Mostly men) which has become more fun than you can shake your stick at, and some take out their sticks and shake them or even jump in the HOT TUB or POOL during the day; and every now and then at night. You can get a TOWEL for $1, if needed, and the stage has become a super venue for special shows. BUDDY'S BARBECUE on Saturdays at 2 PM is great fun with food and frolic and drink specials as well. This is where PISTOL hangs in the afternoon; if it is cool enough and the new SWINGING LOUNGES; all named after great locals. Still part of the COMPLEX is the NEW ORLEANS HOUSE upstairs. A modestly priced place to stay right in the heart OF THINGS with CLOTHING OPTIONAL SUN DECK and BALCONY viewing of DUVAL.
Downstairs: Eats and treats at PAPPA JOE'S PIZZA by the slice or order a special one; quality varies, but usually a good place for late night MUNCHIE ATTACK. Next door is MAGNOLIAS a full service restaurant with a bar that dishes up everything from LARGE HAMBURGS to French fried MACARONI! Open restaurant, however NO SMOKING and once in a while even a stroller is seen (with parents) entering and chowing down.

·KWEST for MEN 709 Duval Street has become the most CHANGEABLE bar in KEY WEST. During the day (3 to 9) it is a JAZZ/LAID BACK Gentlemen's (and some ladies) Martini and Cocktail Venue. Featuring the infamous BILLY BUCKETTS at the bar WEDNESDAY through SUNDAY. He is known for his expertise about GREAT MUSIC and a constant change of the best, the oldies and the newest in GOOD MUSIC. HAPPY HOUR is from 3 to 8, the best prices in town and KWEST has become THE PLACE to SEE and BE SEEN early in the day. WEDNESDAYS and SATURDAY from 5:30 to 7 LIVE PIANO MUSIC and SINGING with some of the ISLAND'S BEST. THEN, the transformation begins at 9 PM with MEN/ BOY DANCERS at 10 PM every night as the SHUTTERS CLOSE and the music and atmosphere totally changes, as do the bartenders. Late night bartender BILLY is adorable and a big flirt! Shirts off, blinds drawn, videos begin, music beats and so do the hearts of those dropping dollars in the swimsuits and less of these HUNKS without HEELS. Women are welcome and tend to want to get a lap dance at times too. Just remember that all men who get semi-NAKED are not NECESSARILY GAY or your intended date for the night. Most are there to ENTERTAIN and collect your BILLS, but it is worth the fun of stuffing in places you would never do anywhere else. SATURDAY NIGHTS at MIDNIGHT has become a BIG HIT with AMATEUR STRIP NIGHT; you'd be surprised what and who you might see without much on!
Next door to KWEST is KWEST LIQUORS open early and late for BOOZE, MIX, CIGS, CANDIES and LOTTO TICKETS.
